When an original Boeing rub strip component on the right wing's thrust reverser translating sleeve was found damaged and unavailable within the required timeline, Pt21 Solutions designed a repair-by-replacement modification using an alternative material.

The solution was backed by rigorous stress analysis proving full structural equivalence to the OEM design, fully satisfying CS-25 airworthiness regulations and keeping the widebody aircraft flying without costly operational grounding.

Scope of Work

  • Right wing thrust reverser translating sleeve assessment
  • Alternative-material rub strip design
  • Stress analysis proving OEM structural equivalence
  • CS-25 airworthiness compliance substantiation
