The customer reported lower-skin crack damage near the edge of several floor panels, with corner cracking and partial adhesive seal loss on some access panels, and both-skin damage with disbonding on one panel. Pt21 designed and delivered a permanent repair that maintains the panels' existing structural strength without affecting primary structure.

Scope of Work

  • Removal of the edge seal in the crack area
  • Cutout on the lower panel skin to remove the crack
  • Fill of the exposed honeycomb with blue filler/adhesive and cure
  • Repair plies installed over the damaged area, overlapping the existing skin, and cured
  • Installation of new edge sealing
  • Re-drilling of holes covered by repair plies at existing locations
